Sail Away Cara Box Reveal-July

When I first started blogging (look at me already acting like I've been at it for decades), one of the first blogs I came across was Wifessionals--Kaitlyn is an amazing blogger, a military wife, and a soon-to-be mommy. It was through her blog that I saw the Cara Box Exchange--it's a great way to meet other bloggers and you also get a box of goodies each month! Anything that entails getting a box in the mail has my vote so I signed up right away.

The theme for July was nautical and I was paired with Jessica from Kate & Trudy and Breeanna from The Kidwell's: Our Life as Airmen. I really enjoyed getting to know these two lovely ladies, especially since this was the first time any of us had participated in the Cara exchange. We were all just so excited for our inaugural boxes!

I got to send my box to Breeanna--she and her husband are both in the US Air Force and have recently been doing some travelling around Europe where he is stationed. I really enjoyed reading about all their adventures and if you want gorgeous pictures of Italy and Greece, Breeanna is your girl! If you'd like to check out what I sent her, go check out her blog, I'll just sit right here till you get back.

Are you back now? Great! Because now I get to show you my box! I loved getting to know Jessica this past month, both through our emails and especially through her blog which is why I loved reading the letter she sent to me. A big part of the Cara box exchange is the note of encouragement that is sent along with the other goodies and Jessica's letter to me really touched my heart! A big thank you to her for brightening up my day and reminding me to always stay true to myself.

Before I get all mushy on y'all, on to the gifts! See that bag of salt water taffy on the left? Yeah that was finished within the day! I have yet to find a place that sells taffy here in Hawaii so I absolutely loved that Jessica included some in my box (the hubby took one look at it and says 'that's to share, right?' haha). My candy fix was complete when I also discovered the bag of Swedish fish!

1-a fortune teller fish, which is cool because it moves in your hand and "tells" your fortune| 2- Big Blue bath bomb (heelloo long baths)| 3-starfish puzzle (brain games ahoy!)

And last but definitely not least, my very favorite part of my Cara box. Some of you might remember in one of my previous posts I mentioned that every Christmas I get an ornament for the tree in honor of something important that happened during the year--*moment of suspense* and now I have an ornament for the start of my blog! I love that it's a lighthouse because not only will it remind me of my first Cara box exchange but also of my first year of blogging (and no I don't think that's corny!).

I had so much fun with the Cara Box Exchange this month! Make sure to check out Kate & Trudy  and Our Life as Airmen--those two gals are absolutely amazing. And if you haven't already signed up for the Cara Box Exchange, make sure to do that here.

Until next time, Aloha!
