Sunday Social 3

I've been a bad blogger lately, I know! I realized today that the last time I blogged was for the Never Ever Ever linkup way back on Tuesday *gasp. So this week's goal--blog at least every other day for the whole week. Now back to today's blog topic--this Sunday Social  which is very aptly about food. If you've even glanced around my blog lately, you know that I love food which is why I really like this weeks topic.

1. If you could only eat one thing for the rest of your life, what would it be? French fries......whether homemade or fast food. I could seriously eat french fries for every meal every day of my life--I love them. This would be me if that happened (btw Monica Geller is totally my inner fat kid!!)

2. What's your guilty pleasure/comfort food? Creamy mashed potatoes with garlic, lots and lots of butter and just a tad bit of brown gravy...my mouth is watering already.

3. What's the weirdest/craziest thing you've ever eaten? I actually don't think I've eaten anything weird--I usually stick to stuff I know I'm going to like and that don't bring to mind images of wild animals, private parts, or anything that has the potential of making me throw up

4. What foods do you avoid at all costs? Most people are going to think I'm weird for this, but I can't eat cheese. The only one I make an exception for is Parmesan; all the rest of the cheeses are a no-go for me.

5. What meal reminds you of your childhood? Tourtière or meat pie was a dish I helped my grandmother make for holidays (we'd always add a little maple leaf garnish on top of each of them). The thing I remember most about those family gatherings were my uncles jabbing each other good-naturedly for the last piece which Grandmoman would then proceed to divide among us kids.

6. Share one of your favorite recipes and the story behind it. My mom always made the best cookies ever--my favorite were cream cheese cookies which were in such high demand in our family that we usually made 2 or 3 batches each Christmas. Click on the picture below for the recipe.

What are some of your favorite foods?
