Life Is A Beach {Weekend Recap}

Well...at least this weekend it was! Happy Monday lovelies! I hope that y'all had as great a weekend as we did here. I don't usually join in all of those weekend recaps that float around blogland every Monday (because usually my weekend consists of chilling, relaxing, and generally being lazy) but today is an exception.
Soooo let the recap begin!

1) The Arrival of the Cara Box
I was very excited to check the mail on Friday and find 2 boxes and a letter waiting for me from some of my blogger buddies! I had the pleasure of being paired with Heatheer for the Cara Box Exchange this quarter and I really couldn't wait to open her box for me! I'll be posting a box reveal a little later in the week so make sure to check back soon to see what she sent me!

2) Fun at the Beach
Zach had a 3-day from work this weekend so we woke up super early Saturday morning and headed to North Shore for a beach swim. The waves were pretty ginormous and I spent lots of time getting hammered by waves and sand but it was super fun. Although I did end up with sand in places a girl should never have sand!

3) Getting ready for the Broncos game.
Hubs and I decided that, since we lost last weekend, we would take extra EXTRA measures for the Broncos to win this weekend. It seemed to work too because, after donning orange and blue for the whole day, we won against the Redskins 21-45, and almost all within the last quarter too. It almost (not quite) made up for last weekends loss against the Colts (Booo)

4) A Rainy Day in Paradise
Moments after we took the number 3 picture, the skies opened up and it started raining cats and dogs. Our road pretty much became like a rushing river. So of course we had to take pictures of the downpour.

) Laundry Day at our House
Sunday nights are usually pretty busy for me, getting ready for Zach's return to work. Usually it consists of lots of laundry including at least 2 loads of cammies. Hurrah for Army life!

There you have it, my dears, my weekend in a nutshell. Now...please excuse me while I go watch the figure skating competition I recorded yesterday in favor of watching football. (My husband has indoctrinated me well!)

Make sure to come back tomorrow for a special look at the lovely ladies on my sidebar!
