The Perfect Day

So if you visited ze blog on Sunday, you know that the hubster and I had an awesome-sauce weekend! And I'm sure that all of you were waiting with baited breath these last two days wondering what we did. And when Monday morning rolled around and there was no weekend update post from yours truly, you were all like "Oh gosh, she's really going to tell us she had a fantastic weekend and not tell us what she did???" Ok so maybe you didn't say that and maybe you could have cared less what made this weekend so great but I'm going to tell you anyway!
It's a Bronco Kind of Day!

Ok so I may or may not have done a happy dance when the Broncos won on Sunday. If you were following me on Twitter and happened to be rooting for the Cowboys, you probably wanted to wring my neck during the last half of the game. I can't help it, people! Don't get me wrong--I love Dallas, and the Cowboys, and the Dallas cheerleaders with their shorts that "show their bum" as my mom says. I just love Peyton Manning more!
Speaking of football, what is wrong with the Giants??? I feel like their game scores should end with one of those cartoon "Wanh Wanh Waaanh" sounds. (Is that how you'd write it? I hope y'all got which sound effect I meant there because I'm pretty sure that's not quite it) It's really hard to believe that before I married the hubby I was football illiterate and now I love to watch the games! Of course, my gals Justine and Sarah have helped immensely with my understanding of the game too. Which means from now on you will have to endure me doing the happy dance and yelling Woop Woop at the top of my lungs when the Broncos win a game! (*Insert huge adorable grin here*)
Date Night y'all!
So this week is the start of those long stretches of time when the hubby and I don't get to see each other very often. If you're one of my fellow military wives, you know what I'm talking about. Anyway though, Hubby surprised me by taking me out to dinner! We don't go out for dinner at restaurants very often (unless you count fast food because, as you know, I'm addicted to McD's and Wendys) so this was pretty special.
And we totally found our go-to restaurant here in Hawaii--Ruby Tuesdays. Most of the other restaurants like Red Lobster, Olive Garden, and such are in the heart of Honolulu but Ruby Tuesday is fairly close to post--yay for us! Hubby got babyback ribs and I got tiliapia--both were really delicious. And of course we couldn't go out on the town without some drinks. Have to say I felt very Carrie Bradshaw-ish sipping my Cosmo!
Of course, a date night would not be a date night without a hubby/wifey selfie. I might be tad bit biased but I'm pretty sure I'm the luckiest girl in the world to have snagged this handsome soldier boy I call my hubby.
Speaking of my hubby, remember I mentioned on Sunday he had inspired a couple post ideas? Look for them on the blog later in the week! Until then, you'll be able to find me in front of my television watching the entire series of One Tree Hill from start to finish (finally got the final season!). That's all folks, adios!
