I Call for a Repeat {March Directive}

Boy am I happy the end of February is here! For such a short little month, it was a tough one for me. Thankfully, the end of this week means March is here. And my sister too for a whole glorious week and a half! Then it's leave time for the hubs before some really important career moves. Pretty much, March is our fun month this year and I'm sooo excited it's finally here! 

You know what else is exciting? I'm cohosting the 2014 Directive with my friend Jessica today! I've had such fun accomplishing my goals these past two months and linking up with my fellow Directive pals so when Jessica asked if I would cohost with her this month, I jumped at the chance!! So without further ado.....

About the 2014 Directive

The 2014 Directive started on January 1st as a “modern new year’s resolution.” It’s an Instagram & blog link-up structured in a way to maximize success of your goals by setting them on a monthly basis. Whether you need to lose a couple pounds, organize your closet, or save a bit of cash, The 2014 Directive structure will get you there.

There are no strict guidelines for participating and you set your own goals. Whatever is relevant to your life each month!

How I Did in February

So February's Directive was to exercise using the Jillian Michael's Weight Loss Program and lose around eight pounds while the hubs was away. I'm actually pretty happy to report I accomplished around half of that goal and lost four pounds. Pretty good right?

The other part of my directive this past month was to continue publishing posts on this little blog that are content-heavy. If you've been keeping up with my goals this year, you know that was the entire directive for January and I'm hoping that I can continue it throughout this year. I tweaked it a little for February because it was a shorter month and concentrated on 8 content-heavy posts instead of the usual ten. And I did pretty great on this--with two days left this month, I'm sitting at 7 really great posts with two already scheduled for the rest of the week. (Yay Me!!)

March 2014 Directive

-Continue exercising and maintaining a healthy workout regimen-

Alright so since this is our fun month, this month is pretty much just an extension of February's Directive with a few minor changes in the exercise program. I'm working on a schedule for different workouts throughout March so I don't dread exercising every day as much as I did in February. And I'm also on the prowl for shamrock stickers to mark the days I follow my exercise regimen (kinda like gold stars, ya know--childish, but it works!) like I'm supposed to. 

I have a ton of vacation time coming up for March so you'll be seeing a lot of amazing guest posters frequenting the bloggy blog plus a bunch of recaps each week. So instead of focusing on content-heavy posts for this month, I'll be taking this down time to organize, free write, schedule, and hopefully come back at the end of the month energized and full of ideas!
