Join Me for Tea, Your Highness?

If you would have asked me when I was a young girl, who my favorite Disney princess I was, I would have immediately said Cinderella. Something about her rags-to-riches story is so magical and fairy-tale like maybe that's part of the reason why choosing who to write about for this week's Girl Between the Lines prompt was really simple for me. This week Hayley and Lauren asked which blogger, celebrity, or public figure we would choose to have lunch with.

So obviously that's me with the Duchess of Cambridge. She invited me over for tea and a croquet game and of course, I accepted! We chatted about our mother-in-laws, our husbands, and of course the sweet little baby prince. I may or may not have admitted that I've been obsessed with her and the rest of the royal family since I was 5 and my Grandma showed me old magazines of Queen Elizabeth from the 30s.

But it's not just because Kate is the Duchess that I would love to have lunch (or tea) with her. I've loved watching Kate grow as a person and as a wife. The road to becoming William's wife hasn't been a completely easy one but she's always handled herself with grace and poise. At least from what I've seen, Kate is also a great example for a godly wife. Plus she's also had experience being a military wife so I'd love to chat with her about that.  I love that Kate and William are such a down-to-earth couple and aren't afraid to be new and modern.  Even though I'll probably never get to have tea with the Duchess (sad day), I can't wait to see what the coming years have in store for her and her little family.

Who would you pick for a lunch date? Link up with Lauren and Hayley
