Taylor (almost) Named My Blog

It's almost the end of the week, my friends!! Let me tell you I've been literally counting the days my week is passing by so slowly. Anyway, you may or may not have noticed that me and a few of my friends are hosting a giveaway for Victoria Secret--between you and me, it's a pretty hefty amount and it only runs until Valentines Day soooo enter while you can and best of luck to all you lovely ladies!

Do I have your intention? Ok good because I also need a favor from you lovely ladies! I will be going on bloggy break for a few weeks in March (my sister is coming all the way from Wisconsin to visit us!!) so I'm looking for a few ladies to take over my blog for a few days. If you're interested, either comment below or email me! Ok, thanks....now we can get around to the real reason for this blog post!
Anyway though today I want to talk about my name. Well, not my name exactly--my blog name, Army Ever After. This little gem of randomness is coming close to its first birthday and I realized that there's a ton of things that I've never talked about on the blog (seriously I have a never-ending list of topics to cover before June). One of those things is how I thought up the name 'Army Ever After' and since my friend Mackenzie from Bell Bliss (remember her from her guest post a while back?) was hosting a linkup about the exact same thing, I'm chalking it up to perfect timing!
It literally took me about two seconds to name my blog once I realized that choosing the lyrics from a Taylor Swift song probably wasn't the right choice. As much as I love Tay Tay, Today Was a Fairytale, This Love Is Ours, and Magic in the Air just didn't fit the vibe I wanted for my little corner of the internet. Plus when I mentioned those choices to the hubs, all I got were arched eyebrows and eye rolling--generally that's the sign of a bad idea.
A huge part of why I wanted to start a blog in the first place was to connect with other military wives so I knew I had to have something military-related in the name. I also wanted to write about our lives as newlyweds and all of the struggles and adventures that come with being married. After a few google searches that landed me a ton of results for blogs called Happily Ever After and Life Ever After, I finally came up with Army Ever After. The minute I thought of the name I knew it was THE ONE.
And that was that, in two minutes my domain was purchased and Army Ever After.com officially belonged to me! And there you have it--the story behind the name!

How about you? What's the story behind your blog name?
If you're interested in guest posting, let me know!!!
