What We've Been Watching Lately

I have a confession: I kinda love television. I think I might even be addicted to a few shows that Zach and I watch. So I thought it was about time to share with y'all some of those TV shows that I just can't get enough of lately.

1. Chicago PD
This is a fairly new show that is in its first season but it's definitely one of my favorites...and Zach likes it too which is a pretty big plus. It has just the right amount of gritty that I love in cop shows without being overly dramatized. And it has one of my favorite actresses Sophia Bush (Brooke from One Tree Hill) as one of the main characters--I might have actually started watching the show solely because she was in it. I'm really excited that Chicago PD has been renewed for a second season.

2. The Mindy Project
Not too long ago I read 'Is Everyone Hanging Out Without Me?' and I completely fell in love with Mindy Kaling. I've never really watched The Office so this was pretty much my first encounter with her humor but the book was so funny that I knew I had to watch one of her shows. And the Mindy Project just happened to be on Hulu so there you go. I pretty much spent a whole day binge watching episodes and then the hubs came home and we binge-watched together.

3. New Girl
Yep another comedy. New Girl is seriously the best y'all. I think Zach and I watched the entire two seasons on Netflix in one weekend. I haven't been able to get the first few episodes of season three but I'm not-so patiently waiting for them to come out so I can watch the whole series over again.

4. Chopped
Ok so this might not be your regular run of the mill TV show but hubs and I watch it regularly nevertheless. It used to be one of those shows that I would always make him watch while we were dating and I guess it kind of grew on him. Our favorite part has become trying to guess who will be eliminated after each round and our second favorite is guessing what the judges will say about each individual plate. You know you've been watching a cooking show for waaay too many seasons when you know exactly what each judge loves and hates about a dish. #dedicatedfans

4. Enlisted
Three brothers all in the Army stuck in a backwater little post in Florida--yeah that actually does sound like a perfect premise for a comedy. The first episode was a little rough because it was a little inconsistent with 'real' military life but it definitely got better. Funny story--I actually tweeted after that first episode and one of the producers tweeted back. Yep, my one chance of fame.

5. Castle
Castle is pretty much living out my dream. No, seriously, he's a best-selling author of multiple books and he gets to solve crimes. He's pretty much the boy version of my very own fictional me. This is one of those shows that I've seen a ton of episodes but I can never seem to catch up on. I might just start a petition to Netflix. An added bonus? There's actually a book series written by the fictitious Richard Castle--it ties in with the TV series and it's a pretty interesting read. Plus I love movie/book tie-ins.

Do you have recommendations for us to watch? What's your current TV obsession?
