Hopes, Plans, and To-Do's

Ya know it's a lot of work to stay organized. If you read my May Directive post, you know my goal for the month was to learn how to shoot in manual (not a gun fyi-a camera). Yeah, that's totally not happening. Can you guess what my directive is going to be next month? Repeeeaaat.

Somehow I forgot that my this little blog's one-year-aversary is at the beginning of June which pretty much means all the cool things I'm planning to celebrate have to be done by the end of May. Plus the military ball I was so incredibly stoked about.....yeah so much to do before that gets here too.

Thankfully, my gal Amanda JUST created this pretty amazing linkup to help accomplish all those things I need to get done during the week. I've loved her Hopes and Plans posts since she started them and I'm super excited it's a linkup now! So let the planning begin, eh? (Haha, I just thought that in a Canadian accent....ahhh I crack myself up.)

ONE// CONTINUE EXERCISING FOR ONE HOUR EVERY DAY.---Actually it's every week day....and yes I did up the ante a little from my goal of 30 minutes a day. And weird thing is I'm actually kind of enjoying it. I'm on Week 2 of Jillian's Ripped in 30 program and then adding another half hour of the 30-day shred. I know sounds icky, right....but I am seeing results so I'm pretty happy. Now if I can only continue my regimen for at least another two weeks, I'm good.

TWO// PRACTICE MY MAKEUP AND HAIR FOR THE BALL---Yeah I just said that...and I'm aware it sounds lame. But see I'm not normally a big makeup person....a little bit of foundation plus some eye liner and I'm good to go. However, the whole military ball thing means I might want to step up my game a little. And...big shocker...I've never liked my hair-do at pretty much any event I've been to in my life (particularly the one I was channeling Napoleon Dynamite's girlfriend....not my favorite moment). Hopefully with Pinterest's help, I can remedy that.
The Chic Updo |  Fast & Easy Up Style | Messy Side Bun
Eyes a la Megan | Eye-Enlarging Makeup
All of these are possibilities that I'm looking at and by the end of next week I'll have the styles nailed down. Which is good because at least that's one thing I won't have to really worry about. (haha if you can't tell I'm a little nervous) Any votes on which hairstyle I should try?

THREE// FINISH MY DIY STATE ART---I've been about halfway finished with this Pinterest project I've been working on for a few weeks now and it's about time that I finished it. Living in a place with no craft stores made this super simple project a lot harder than I thought it'd be but--three Walmarts and a Target later--I think I finally have everything I need now. Hopefully it'll turn out cute enough I can show it to y'all.

FOUR// FINISH MY HTML/CSS CLASS AND START TWEAKING MY BLOG DESIGN---Don't worry...I said tweak!! The main design will be staying pretty much the same and even though I really want to make the switch to Wordpress, I'm restraining myself. Ok, ok, my pocketbook is restraining me but still. I'm hoping that fixing all the little things about my design that annoys me will stop the urge. And it never hurts to learn more about the inner workings of blog coding. Yay me!!

Think I can do it? I'm sure hoping I can! In the meantime aka the weekend I'm going to be spending some well-earned time with my hunny bunches. TGIF, gal pals!!!!
