Why Elizabeth Loves?

Yay, it's finished!! The new blog rebrand that is!! This weekend between all the festivities that come with the tied-for-best holiday of the year, Army Ever After has truly morphed into Elizabeth Loves. And since everything from the design to the individual pages have changed, I thought I'd let you all in on why I made this huge leap of faith in the first place!

GOODBYE ARMY EVER AFTER
If you read my July Directive, you know that I have an Etsy shop in the works. And while I've been working on that (I know, I know, I'm torturing all of you by not telling you the particulars), I realized just how far I've come from when I picked my blog name a year ago.

And the more I searched my brain for a shop name that matched with Army Ever After, the more I realized that it didn't quite click anymore. Don't get me wrong--I love Army Ever After. I love that it has given me an instant connection with other military wives. And I love that even through the name, you know that a huge part of my life is my hubby and our lives as a military couple.

Obviously I still love that Zach is in the military and, don't worry all my fellow milSO's, I'll still be talking quite a bit about our Army life (and maybe even more than I have been)

But the more I thought about it, the more I realized I wanted my blog to be more than just about the military and married life--I wanted it to be about ME. All facets of me--from military wife, to pup mama, to recipe tester, to fashionista, to returning college student, to future mom.

HELLO ELIZABETH LOVES
I know what you're thinking. Once you decided to change your blog name, how did you come up with Elizabeth Loves?? Duh, I made a list!

A list of all the topics I write about often and all the topics I want to write about. It was a huge list and I just couldn't categorize them under umbrella topics. They were all individual, they were all things I'm passionate about. All things that I really love.

I kinda credit Nadine with giving me the final push I needed to change my blog to a name that, for all grammatically correct purposes, is a fragment. (By the way, if you haven't visited Nadine yet, you really should--she's funny, informative, and has a golden retriever) She chose East& as her blog name and said that part of the reason why is her life changed when she went East and she blogs about everything that came afterward. This made soooo much sense to me, ya'll.

I love writing about Zach and Duke, our lives here in Hawaii, cooking, writing, and design--but it all started when I just plain old loved. BAM! Elizabeth Loves!!

A few days later I was purchasing my new domain and a few weeks after I made the change official! Oh and did I mention that the new name works absolutely perfect for my new Etsy shop too!!!

IT'S OFFICIALLY OFFICIAL!
Obviously my new blog name means ALL of my social media handles have also changed. Soooo, like any good blogger, I'm taking this time to shamelessly self-promote. Here are my brand-spankin new social media handles and I would absolutely LOVE if you'd follow me!

(yet another reason Facebook sucks) but you can still find me here

(but you can still find me at armyeverafter73@gmail.com for the time being)

And since you all asked, I've also redone my about and sponsor pages too so you can definitely check those out too.

Ok, now I'm done! Haha!

Guys, I'm so excited about this and I really really hope that all of you are too. Thanks so much for your patience this past week as I've been working all the kinks out. And I'm especially excited for July 22nd to roll around so I can show you all what's cooking over at my new Etsy shop too!!

WHAT DO YOU THINK OF THE NEW LOOK? HAVE YOU EVER FELT, LIKE I DID, THAT YOU'VE OUTGROWN SOMETHING OR THAT YOU NEEDED A CHANGE?
