Adventures in Blog Design

Well hey there loves! It's my second favorite day of the work week.

Actually Monday was my favorite day of this particular week because I got not one, but two packages in the mail. Woohoo for me! I'm so excited to use my new Heart and Arrow day planner--I'm hoping that it gives me a little more of a push to schedule my day and keep all my ideas written down. AND it's already given me the urge to organize my blog calendar a bit more which is always a good thing.

Speaking of all things blog, today I wanted to give you all a little peak into what I've been doing lately. Blog designs!! I'm so excited to be working on my sixth blog design since I opened the shop a month ago.

1. MY CONFESSIONS
// blogger basic design package //

Jacquie was my very first design client and I really enjoyed working with her to give My Confessions a new look. She wanting something that was a little more professional than her previous design but still kept a girly feel. My favorite part? On my very first paid blog design? Pretty much everything! Jacquie was a gem to work with and helped fix some of the little kinks in my process.

2. Amy's Fashion Blog
// basic design package //

You might recognize Amy as the winner of my design giveaway a while back.....she's also a regular commenter (is that a word) here on Elizabeth Loves. I definitely felt a little more comfortable in my design mojo starting with Amy's blog and I loved creating her vintage, girly design. Amy and I share a favorite color, pink, so I knew I wanted to incorporate lots of it into her design. My favorite part? Definitely her header. I love the way the pink and gray bunting turned out.

3. Marry Mint
// deluxe design package //

Amanda knew exactly what she wanted for her design (her Pinterest board was chalked full of color palettes, fonts, and design elements she loved which was great for me!). Sophisticated and clean were her watchwords and she wanted mainly a black and emerald color scheme with hints of mint and glitter. Amanda was a sweetheart to work with and was so amazingly patient with me during the whole design process. My favorite part? It's so hard to pick a favorite thing for this design! I have to say I loved creating her sidebar--the glittery social media icons and the ombre emerald category buttons. Now visiting her blog gives me yet another reason to smile. :)

4. Elizabeth Loves
// deluxe design //

Ok that ones mine....obviously. But it's by far the favorite design I've done for my blog so far. I wanted a design with soft colors and a little bit of a vintage feel. My favorite part? I really like the simplified header and the category buttons. Love it!

Wait a sec, why are there only four? Well I have a few in progress right now but just to give you all a sneak peak of my design process, here's one of the design boards for a blog I'm working on.

Can you tell that I'm enjoying this whole blog design business? I am--it's been such a great way to grow in my hobby and I absolutely love working with friends to make their blog design dreams come true.  As with everything I do in this blogging world of mine, I can't thank all of you enough for supporting me in this new venture. You guys are seriously the best!!!

OH AND IF YOU'RE LOOKING FOR A NEW BLOG DESIGN, DON'T FORGET TO CHECK ME OUT! YES THAT WAS A SHAMELESS PLUG
