A Very Merry Christmas Recap

Hey there loves!!! I hope you all had a great Christmas! Can you believe 2014 is almost over already? It seems like I just got used to writing it down and now it's time for a brand new year. And I honestly still can't figure out how years used to pass slowly when I was a child but now it's like if you blink you miss them. Weird, right?!

Anyway, I know I said I'd probably be a little MIA from the blog this week but I figured I'd pop back in to tell you a little about our Christmas and to hear a little about yours! Sound like a plan? Alrighty then!

Yes, we went to a football game on Christmas Eve. And even though the team we cough Zach were rooting for lost 6 to 30, we still loved being able to catch another college game during our time here. Ok, fine--truthfully I did spend at least one quarter of the game wondering who decided to name a team "the Owls" but then I got over it because there are definitely worse team names out there. (For example, a team in Montana is called the Belfry Bats, no that's not a joke).

We got some pretty great action shots too, if I do say so myself.  And it made us want to attend a pro-football game even more.....if that's actually possible because our need to visit Mile High or Gillette Stadium is already pretty strong.

And we got a mini-Hawaiian luau as our half-time show. Zach and I haven't been to a luau here yet so that part was really fun. Especially when the hip hop dancers came out and danced to Mele Kalikimaka. #surprise

Zach and I have continued my childhood tradition of opening Christmas presents at midnight Christmas Eve so as soon as 11:30 came around we were in our Christmas pajamas and settled around the tree. By the way, does anyone else think Christmas PJ's are the comfiest ever? It's like wrapping yourself up in a blanket, in my opinion.

Now I have to admit that I kinda drive Zach nuts with Christmas presents because I want to know exactly what I'm getting and giving weeks in advance. I like knowing what I'm getting....and knowing exactly what the other person wants when it comes to presents....Zach is completely the opposite and loves being surprised. The past few years I could tell it really bummed Zach out not to have any real surprises under the tree so I made sure to add a special something that wasn't on his list.

(That's real love, people, because it is super duper hard for me to keep secrets, especially when it comes to presents. The whole not-liking surprises thing extends to books and movies too--I always skip to the end about halfway through and then return to my starting point...file that in the ten-things-you-didn't-know-about-Elizabeth category).

And what was that special something? The Mass Effect edition of the board game Risk. For those of you who aren't familiar, Mass Effect is a space-age-set video game and one of Zach's all-time favorite games to play. And he loved it...and we've played it three times already....and he's beaten me at it all three times.

What present am I most excited about? Well, I'm really loving my new slow-cooker--there is bound to be a ton of slow-cooker recipes coming to the blog in the near future--and I'm really really excited to start on my new scrapbooking project--a Project Life album.

Aren't these two the cutest???? Above all the presents, the football games, and everything else, I loved being able to spend Christmas with my two sweeties!

WHAT DID YOU DO FOR CHRISTMAS THIS YEAR?
ARE YOU READY FOR ALL THE FUN THINGS HAPPENING IN 2015??? I KNOW I AM!
