It's the Most Wonderful Time of the Year!

I LOVE seeing the word December right up there! It's finally Christmastime, loves!!! I have half a mind to write this post entirely in capital letters in order to adequately capture my excitement...except that's kind of annoying so I won't. BUT I'm superly duperly excited it's finally my favorite time of year!!!

Ok, so getting off the Polar Express, today is going to be a weekend recap slash random type of post. K? Ok!

So last week, Chelsea from the New Wifestyle had a series of Instagram prompts called #GratefulLove. I fell in love with the idea and wanted to participate but completely forgot to by the middle of the week #badblogger. Even though I missed out on doing them daily, I figured it would be fun to share them anyways here on the blog!

DAY 1 - Holding Hands - I remember waaaay back when (ok three years or so ago) we first started dating, Zach balked at the idea of holding hands. The first few times I would reach out to hold his hand, he'd give mine a big squeeze and then keep glancing down afterwards like he wasn't quite sure what he was supposed to do. I think he might have even blushed a little. #adorablehusband

DAY 2 - Your Favorite Spot - When I asked Zach what he thought about this one, he said our favorite spot was the beach or the route we take on our (almost) daily walks. I figured the beach had the prettiest picture sooo the beach for this one. The beach in the photo is one we recently discovered but has quickly become our favorite--it's pretty much secluded and has gorgeous waves plus a good view of the coastline. Perfect for sitting in the sand and talking.

DAY 3 - Relationship Advice - "Marriage is easy when you work at it hard and hard when you work at it easy." This is a great reminder to me to work hard at our marriage....sometimes it's super easy to live with my hubby day in and day out aaaaandd......sometimes it's not. And that's totally alright because at the end of the day we're both completely committed to our marriage--through the good and the bad days.

DAY 4 - Thanksgiving - Speaking of the not so great days, Thanksgiving day was not the best day for either of us. Holidays are always kind of hard away from family and this is our third (my fifth) away from ours. The house was hot because of the weather and the oven; the food that I slaved over all day was not to my liking at all (even the mashed potatoes); and I'm pretty sure both of us were missing our mommys. Finally we decided to get out of the house and visit the beach. Watching the ocean and spending time together was the best medicine for homesickness.

DAY 5 - Best Thing about Your Partner - I can't pick one thing....honest, I can't. His personality is just the perfect compliment to mine. He makes me laugh, he's up for pretty much anything. He goes Black Friday shopping with me at 2am. He's supportive and caring. He pretty much wins the award for Best Husband. And I love him more than anything!

DAY 6 - Best Thing about Yourself - Hmmmm........I think the best thing I add to our marriage is my goofiness because I'm honestly really goofy and zany.

DAY 7 - The Kiss - Last prompt is the kiss.....we have so many photos of us kissing but this one is one of my favorites. I'm so thankful that Zach and I have grown stronger as a couple and have become even closer together as the years go by. I can't wait to see what the years in front of us bring!

HOW WAS YOUR THANKSGIVING? TELL ME ONE THING YOU'RE GRATEFUL FOR!
