Six Ideas to Jumpstart Date Night

You guys, the first Project Date Your Husband linkup is a week away!!! Are y'all as excited as I am about that? I hope so!

Anyway as I was thinking about ideas for my own January date night, I started to think that sometimes it's not the easiest to break out of the whole routine. So I've assembled six simple ideas to kind of break the 'ice' so to speak and jump start your date night.

1// Decide on the day of your date night at the beginning of the month.
This doesn't always work out because the hubby's work schedule can be a little unpredictable, but it does help us to have a date written on the calendar....even if we end up having to change it.

2// Purchase items like tickets or reservations in advance.
If I could, I'd do this literally all the time! It's like an absolute guaranteed date night which is pretty great in my opinion.

3// Make a date night bucket list together.
Make sure to include things you'll both really enjoy and things that take one of you out of your comfort zone. For me that would be things like going golfing   nn

4// Not every date has to be extravagant! Try planning a few at-home or group dates too.
One of Zach's favorite dates ever has been the ones we spend playing video games or board games together. Little to no planning involved, just some good old-fashioned fun! Make sure to mix things up a bit!

5// Check out the internet for ideas!
Ok so Pinterest isn't just for wedding planning and DIY's. It's also a pretty great resource for finding date night ideas too. I always find some one-of-a-kind ideas that I can tweak and make our own. And usually I pin them. *Insert shameless plug to go check out my date night pinterest board here*

6// While you're on your date together, put away technology!!!
Ok so maybe you've guessed that technology is not my strong point? Anyway I can't even count how many times Zach and I are on a date and during a lull (like waiting to be seated) we sit there on our phones instead of talking to each other....which kind of sort of defeats the purpose of a date night, ya know!

Alright, so now that you have a few ideas, are y'all going to join Faith, Sarah and I for the linkup next Tuesday? We hope you do!!

WHAT DO YOU DO TO JUMPSTART YOUR DATE NIGHT IDEAS?
