The One Where I Skip a Sunday + Autumn on My Mind

Happy Sunday, loves! So usually today's post would be a linkup with Neely's Sunday Social, but the topic for this week happens to be purses. Well, I'm just not a purse gal--I'm a shoe girl so I decided to skip this week and catch up on my fall linkup--Autumn on my Mind. 

So Thursday's topic was an Autumn Creation/Craft. Frankly, crafting has been the last thing on my mind this week so you'll have to make do with what I really want to craft for the fall season.

This gorgeous fall door wreath is made from upcycled aluminum cans and is really simple to make. All you need is a leaf template or die cut, fall paint colors, and a cardboard wreath form. I'm definitely bookmarking this tutorial to spruce up our front door one of these days.

A book pumpkin is definitely on my list of craft-to-do's. I mean seriously how cute is that. I would love to do it with a fall-themed book like Harry Potter or the Legend of Sleepy Hollow.

This one might fit in more with outside activities--but I'd absolutely love to dress up for Halloween once in my life. No I have actually never in my almost-23 years gone trick or treating or dressed up for Halloween. And if I did have any chance to dress up in a costume, I would totally be rocking Mary Poppins and of course Zach would make a handsome Bert--I may or may not be able to convince him to try a cockney accent though. I'm also open to Will and Elizabeth costumes from Pirates though so we might have to dress up for more than one year.

This Sunday's topic is a Fall Outdoor Activity. By now, you've probably gotten tired of my saying that Hawaii has no fun fall activities for us childless couples, but it actually is true. Therefore we kind of had to get creative for this one. The other weekend Zach and I went on a hike up Diamond Head Crater. Ok, so maybe that's not strictly a fall thing to do. But hey, give me a break here--I'm working with fall activities in a tropical paradise.

The stairs leading up to the tunnel. Just for the record, I really hate tunnels, especially really small ones where you can't see the light at the end. So this tunnel pretty much freaked me out--I did manage to walk through it twice though so I'm pretty proud of myself. 

And of course it didn't hurt that this view was waiting for us at the top! It definitely made the climb worth it.
