You Are My Sunshine

The other day Hayley from A Beautiful Exchange  (if you haven't checked out her blog, you should because she's just an all-around lovely person) nominated me for the Sunshine Award. I love these things really! Remember all the interesting tidbits you learned about me when I was nominated for the Liebster? Well there's much more where that came from! So let's get to it! Hayley's Questions for Moi 1. What is your favorite TV show? Starting out with the hard one. I love One Tree Hill, Rizzoli and Isles, and Modern Family. There are probably others, but those are the ones I really love.  2. What state do you live in? The great state of Hawaii--actually to me it's not thaaat great, but it's home for now.  3. What is your favorite thing about blogging? I love that my blog is my space to write whatever I feel like. It's my creative outlet and I never want to forget that.  4. What is your "day" job? My day job is mistress of the house--which pretty much covers cooking, cleaning, and all the other fun stuff you do as a house wife. It may not sound glamorous, but I enjoy it. I'd also like to throw in that blogging has become part of my day job too! 5. Name one person that has inspired you and share how they did that. Lately I've been feeling a little down and wrote a post that hinted at such, I was really touched by how many people supported me. Especially my friend Stephanie who took the time to email me with words of encouragement and a 'shoulder to lean on'. (Community is yet another thing that I love about blogging)
6. What color are your nails painted right now? Oh I don't remember the last time I painted my nails--maybe my wedding? My nail polish always chips by the second day and it just seems like it's not worth the effort, sadly enough.  7. Have you made a new purchase for your fall wardrobe yet? This question makes me very sad I live in Hawaii right now--I love living in a cool climate for fall because of all the cute sweaters and jackets I can wear (I'm a huge fan of jean jackets). Check out this post of the fall fashion I would love to own right now! 8. Name one talent that you wish you had. Hmmm.....I'd have to say that I wish I was better at time management. Does that count as a talent? If it doesn't, I also wish I could play the guitar. (I really have no talent when it comes to instruments--singing yes, instruments definitely not)
9. Name one talent that you are thankful for. I really don't consider myself that talented, but I love that I can cool well (That's a talent, right?) Otherwise my husband would eat ramen every day of his life and that's just not wrong in my book. 
10. If all your plans were cancelled for next week and you were free to do anything, what would you do? Well, if that includes my hubby's plans too, I would love to spend a few days with him hiking some of the beautiful trails here on the island. 
11. What is one thing you'll miss about summer? I'm actually loving me some fall, at least as much as you can enjoy fall in a place that is always summer. I love seeing what everyone else has planned for fall though so I guess you could say I won't miss anything about summer!
