Well happy Friday, loves! Today is military spouse appreciation day so I thought I would write a little something in honor of the day. Being a military spouse comes with A LOT of unique experiences but there are some things that pretty much all of us can relate to.
ONE// the first thing you check your purse for when you leave home is your phone and the second is your ID card.
TWO// you know that not every service member is called a soldier.
THREE// you catch yourself using military jargon without realizing it
FOUR// on the other hand, sometimes you only understand one word of what your spouse says when he talks about his work---that word is I.
FIVE// you know your spouse's coworkers solely by their last name.
SIX// you never write dates or addresses in pen--pencils are your friend.
SEVEN// you have some pretty eclectic decor aka souvenirs from every place you've been stationed.
EIGHT// you know what DEERS really is.
NINE// you know to avoid the commissary every 1st and 15th of every month.....but somehow you always need to pick up something anyway.
TEN// sometimes your living room looks like a military supply room threw up in it--ACU's and gear everywhere.
ELEVEN// you know that real military life is absolutely nothing like 'Army Wives'.....thank God!
TWELVE// you know there is absolutely nothing more essential to military life than a sense of humor.
Alright MilSo's what would you add to this list? Happy Military Spouse Appreciation Day, lovelies!
